Who operates InterimCMO
InterimCMO is operated personally by Elias Terman. Questions or requests about personal information can be sent to the contact form.
Information collected
When you visit the site, hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request information, including an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security signals.
When you subscribe to InterimCMO, the site collects your email address, subscription and consent status, signup source, and email engagement information. When you use the contact form, the site sends your name, email address, and message directly from your browser to Formspree. Formspree also receives your IP address, browser request information, and technical anti-abuse signals. Each form explains what is required before collection.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential company information, credentials, or regulated data through the website.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to deliver and secure the site, respond to inquiries, manage confirmed subscriptions, distribute requested updates, understand service reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.
InterimCMO does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed for the purposes described here, when you direct or consent to the sharing, or when required to protect rights, safety, or comply with law.
Depending on your location and the context, processing may rely on consent, steps you request before entering an agreement, legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, or legal obligations.

Cookies and analytics

Public access does not require a password or reviewer cookie. Any cookie remaining from the former reviewer-access period expires after eight hours.
Google Analytics is optional and loads directly only after you accept. Google Tag Manager is not active. Your preference is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. You can change it on this page at any time, using the Privacy link in the footer. Declining does not affect access to the site, newsletter signup, or contact forms.
Analytics measures page usage and accepted signup and contact requests. It does not treat a signup request as a confirmed subscription. Names, email addresses, messages, URL query strings, and URL fragments are not intentionally sent to Analytics. Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled. User and event data is retained for two months, without resetting retention on new activity. Analytics cookies last up to 180 days without renewal on activity. Aggregated reports may remain longer.
Google tags load only if you accept analytics. Declining sends no analytics requests to Google. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and removes accessible Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already received by Google. You may request deletion through the contact form.
Retention and security
Personal information is kept only while it serves the purpose for which it was collected, supports reasonable records, or must be retained by law. Confirmed subscriber information is retained until unsubscribe or deletion. Formspree submission archiving is disabled; delivered inquiry emails are retained until resolved and no longer needed. Infrastructure logs follow provider operational and security requirements.
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; to withdraw consent; or to complain to a local privacy authority. Marketing email will include an unsubscribe mechanism.
Send a request to the contact form. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed. InterimCMO does not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Children
InterimCMO is intended for a professional audience and not for children under 16. Information known to have been collected from a child without appropriate authorization will be deleted.
AI-assisted, human-approved maintenance
An AI-assisted review process monitors declared integrations and proposes policy updates when data practices may change. It does not have authority to approve or publish consequential legal changes. Elias reviews the evidence and approves changes before affected tools are activated.
Changes to this policy
Material changes update the effective date and appear in the change history. A routine review without a policy change updates only the last-human-review date.
- Activated directly installed Google Analytics with explicit opt-in, approved retention, and no advertising features. Tag Manager remains inactive. Public access no longer requires a reviewer cookie.
- Added browser privacy choices and approved an opt-in analytics plan. Google Analytics and Tag Manager remain disabled pending configuration and verification.
- Disabled Formspree submission archiving and clarified retention for contact-form messages.
- Added the Beehiiv newsletter and Formspree contact form, including the information collected, purposes, and retention disclosures.
- Initial Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and processing registry created.
